I picked up a Seagate CTD-8000 internal for 75$ US on Ebay. I thought it was audio-ready but it wasn't, showing up with firmware 28388-XXX-5.45. After seeing the blinking LEDs and all, I realized I had to flash the firmware. Went to "http://www.xs4all.nl/~heemsker/fup/" and downloaded the firmware utility (1st one on top, even though 5.45 didn't show up in his firmware identifications). Crossed my fingers and ran it. 5 minutes later I was listening to my DAT through DAT2WAV. I'm waiting on another CTD-8000 so I can use DAT2DAT. Regards, Phil
